or music Permanent Integration era (2000–beyond+) - By well into 2000, it was already clear that bboying was here to stay! No longer being tagged by the mainstream as just a fad, it seems the art of the bboy has been fully integrated into mainstream consciousness and the dance world. Thanks to the Revival Era, now the bboy has its own new ways of doing business smartly, new sponsors both mainstream & grassroots, new opportunities, etc, that it didn’t have before (where even Red Bull is sponsoring bboy events)...paving a path to a whole new era for bboying. But even if the corporate world one day considers bboying a passing fad again, bboying by now has already proven to be a legit and powerful force in the dance world & Hip Hop community, well into the 21st Century.

The first of many preliminary competitions of the first Out For Fame championship (produced by Cros1 & Paulskee), held in Vancouver, WA (Portland, OR heat), in the Hudson Bay High School gym (1206 E. McLoughlin Blvd, 98663, on the corner of McLoughlin & Reserve St). Scheduled for 7pm-12am.

Red Bull marketing employee, Jaimeson Keegan, begins making contact with Los Angeles radio jock Carmelita Sanchez via emails & phone calls to Los Angeles to amass some key contacts within the bboy community in order to consult with, plan for, & produce his intended bboy event, "LORDS OF THE FLOOR". Carmelita puts him in touch with Asia One, Ken Swift & Kujo (both of whom would later serve as judges), The Beat Junkies, Cros1, Stress Magazine, The Wake Up Show (natch), and bboy Ivan, as well as other Hip Hop contacts that are local to his location.
August 12
Raw Styles 2 (at the Auckland Town Hall, 50 Mayoral Dr, Auckland 1010, 4pm), the biggest bboy battle in New Zealand at this time, is the first event at which bboy Peter Pan (along with brother & crewmate) tests out the first part (the judging during the battle) of the ideas they shared back in April 1999...which would later develop into the IBSS.
September 2
Just outside the Seattle Center Flag Pavilion where a Red Bull sponsored DJ battle at Bumbershoot festival is occurring, Jaimeson Keegan finally meets Bob Foxhoven & Circle Of Fire in person (who he has been trying to get a hold of). From there, for the next several months, they plan the bboy jam that would be LORDS OF THE FLOOR that Jaimeson wants to put on.
October 14
Battle Of The Year 2000, in Hannover, Germany, at the Preussag Arena (address?). Winners: Flying Steps (Germany).
October 30
After finally writing up a refined, set scoring system, and giving it the official name I.B.S.S. (International Bboy Score System), Peter Pan, Zork One, & Dynamic Dre have the IBSS copyrighted with the US Copyright Office & Library Of Congress. Thereafter, they put the IBSS to further testing, exhibiting it to the public and getting feedback through live presentations, the internet, and while using it to judge other bboy competitions. This all eventually leads to the refining of the IBSS into its final current form.

This free public event, organized by Henry Chalfant & Martha Cooper, is at Lincoln Center Out-Of-Doors Festival in NYC, Josie Robertson Plaza (at Columbus Ave, between the fountain & Metro Opera House), 5:30-6:40pm, and features a 3-on-3 bgirl battle between four crews judged by old skoolers Rokafella, Asia One, & Aruna...According to them the winners are Fox Force Five, who win the $600 prize.

The movie KICKIN IT OLD SKOOL comes out. Its a movie about some fictional 80's breakdancers. It also features real life breakers Havoc (Jonathan Woods) and Lazylegs (Luca Patuelli), and choreographed by locker Adolfo Quinones (aka Shabadoo).

In a Durham, NC news article by Amy England, its reported that the Supernaturalz crew have been sidelined by their planned Beijing trip being postponed due to safety concerns amidst the protests over the Olympics by the Chinese. They were originally scheduled to compete in a Pre-Olympics show in May as a second part of the Bboy Unit World Championship for the world champion title.

The full length feature film B-GIRL (by Two Camels Films, written & directed by Emily Dell) will come out. It's a fictional story about a female breakdancer overcoming a brutal attack to claim her place in the world of underground Hip Hop.
